The "Post-doctoral Fellowships" initiative aims to host young researchers with international backgrounds at the MaCI who are developing innovative projects in the humanities and social sciences. The three selected researchers, Angela Conquet, Eran Horowitz, and Lórien MacEnulty, will commence their research for a period of two years.
Angela Conquet, a Franco-Australian artistic curator specializing in dance, will work on the project "Keeping the score - Scores as method for curating dance", supported by the Litt&Arts laboratory. With 20 years of international experience, she is currently a curator for the FORUM at the Lyon Dance Biennale.
Eran Horowitz, a researcher, translator, and writer, will focus on "Formation, Enthusiasm, Irony – Forms of Liberalism? The Coppet Salon in Dialogue with German Romanticism, 1804 to 1817", a project supported by the Litt&Arts laboratory. His work examines 19th-century French and German literatures, and he has published two award-winning novels.
Lórien MacEnulty, a specialist in computational physics and feminist computational social sciences, will lead the project "Probabilistic Amalgamation and Reformulation of Androcentric Deterrents to Inclusion of Gender Minorities (PARADIGM)", supported by the PACTE and SIMaP laboratories. They obtained a doctorate in theoretical physics in 2025.
The application campaign for the next session (2027-2029) will run from March 10 to May 15, 2027. The GATES project, funded by the ANR 2022 ExcellencES call for projects, aims to enhance the visibility and attractiveness of the UGA's research and training ecosystem.
