From October 10 to 15, 2026, SYMBHI is organizing a public awareness week in Fontaine focused on the Drac river, aiming to improve knowledge of the area and flood risk culture.

The week will begin with days dedicated to the dikes, on Saturday, October 10 in Fontaine, near Jules Ferry school, and on Wednesday, October 14 in Seyssinet-Pariset, rue de Sisteron. Free 45-minute guided tours will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with mandatory reservations via the website www.symbhi.fr. Outside these slots, SYMBHI teams will be present continuously from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with information banners about the PAPI Drac project and an educational model of the structures.
A full-scale simulation exercise of a major Drac river flood, titled "Exocrise," will take place on Monday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 13. Led by Grenoble Alpes Métropole in partnership with SYMBHI, the prefecture, and the SDIS, this exercise aims to test safeguard procedures and crisis protocols on the Drac dikes, as well as strengthen coordination among all stakeholders.
Two free round table evenings, open to all, are also scheduled. On Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Cosmocité, Pont-de-Claix, the discussion will focus on "The evolution of the Drac and its biodiversity," with historian Denis Cœur and Jacques Pulou (FNE), followed by a screening of "Tresse de Vie." On Thursday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Salle Moucherotte, Seyssinet-Pariset, the theme will be "The evolution of the Drac and crisis management," with Denis Cœur and the SDIS of Isère, followed by a screening of "Ça n’arrive pas qu’aux autres" (IRMa). These events are for the general public aged 14 and over and will last 2 hours.
