Amidst heavy traffic, Veyrier-du-Lac is deploying temporary speed cameras from mid-October on the Route de Thônes and soon at the northern entrance.

In a context of particularly heavy traffic in Veyrier-du-Lac, the reinforcement of speed controls is becoming a reality in the commune. A temporary speed camera will be installed starting mid-October on the Route de Thônes, at the southern entrance of the commune. This location was chosen following a site visit with the relevant services.
This installation is part of the actions undertaken for road safety and addresses concerns regularly expressed regarding the speeds observed at the commune's entrances. A second installation point will also be defined at the northern entrance of the commune, towards Chavoires and Annecy-le-Vieux. Its precise location will be determined during a future technical visit.
The system is intended to be deployed alternately at both entrances of Veyrier-du-Lac to enhance controls throughout the commune's crossing. The Commune continues to monitor its implementation with state services and will inform residents once it is deployed.
