The municipality of Seytroux and its surroundings are facing severe drought, leading to the maintenance of crisis level 4/4 for the Arve aval and other sectors until October 31st.

The month of September, extending the summer, is marked by a very significant rainfall deficit. Precipitation is almost absent, temperatures exceed seasonal norms, and soil moisture remains very low. This situation is expected to persist in the coming weeks without significant improvement.
Consequently, the passage to crisis (level 4/4) for the Arve aval has been effective since Thursday, October 1st. The sectors of Dranses, Chéran, and Usses are also affected, with water restriction measures extended until October 31, 2026.
For sectors in level 4/4, several prohibitions are in effect, including: watering lawns, roundabouts, public and private green spaces, and flowerbeds, as well as vegetable gardens from 9 am to 8 pm. Washing vehicles, filling or emptying private swimming pools, and cleaning facades, roofs, sidewalks, and other waterproofed surfaces are also prohibited.
Water consumption for industrial and commercial activities is restricted, except in specific cases. Watering of training courses and golf courses is prohibited, as is sprinkler irrigation of crops, except between 8 pm and 9 am for crops benefiting from an adapted regime.
