The new micro-crèche in l'Abbaye, Passy, has been expanded and modernized, officially opening on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with a capacity for 12 children.

After a year of work, the l'Abbaye micro-crèche was inaugurated on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Over 50 people, including elected officials, the facility's team, and families, gathered for this convivial moment. Following a tour of the micro-crèche and the school's new sanitary facilities, Mr. Raphaël Castéra, Mayor of Passy and Vice-President of the Communauté de Communes Pays du Mont-Blanc, Stéphane Donnot, Sub-Prefect of Bonneville, Xavier Roseren, Deputy of Haute-Savoie, and Cyril Pellevat, Senator of Haute-Savoie, proceeded with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new structure, colorful and bright, offers nearly 220 m² compliant with the standards of the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales. The capacity has increased from 10 to 12 places, supported by a team of six early childhood professionals. This relocation means users from l'Abbaye no longer need to travel to Chedde as they did previously. Its placement within the school paves the way for a bridge project with the kindergarten classes, to gently transition toddlers towards their future school life.

More space, more comfort, closer to families

The total cost of the project amounts to 855,000 euros, including 205,000 euros from the State and 96,000 euros from the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales.
