The CPTS Portes du Soleil Grand Massif, in partnership with the Morzine town hall, is organizing a free screening day for suspicious skin lesions on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The aim is to facilitate access to initial medical advice for residents concerned about an unusual mole or spot.

Early detection of skin anomalies allows for quicker identification of lesions requiring management. This initiative aims to raise awareness and provide early screening, without replacing a full dermatological examination or a specialist consultation.
The day is open to anyone wishing to have a concerning skin lesion examined, whether it's a changing mole, a new spot, a lesion that bleeds, crusts, persists, or doesn't heal. The presence of such signs does not necessarily mean skin cancer but warrants medical attention.

Consultations are free and by appointment, taking place at the CPTS Portes du Soleil Grand Massif premises, located at 878 route de la Plagne – Building A in Morzine, from 9 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM.
To participate, please book an appointment by calling 06 19 02 28 65, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A form will be provided upon booking and must be completed for the appointment.
This initiative is important as skin cancers are common, with UV radiation exposure being a significant risk factor. Melanoma, in particular, can develop from an existing mole or on previously healthy skin. Health insurance recommends consulting when a lesion evolves, a mole rapidly changes appearance, a new spot persists, or a wound does not heal.
