Thonon Agglomération is launching a collective initiative to define the future of its 25 municipalities, from the Swiss border to Chablais, through a territorial project that will serve as a roadmap until 2050.

This project aims to identify priorities and major transformations to be undertaken in the coming years, in response to challenges such as climate change, demographic evolution, residential attractiveness, resource preservation, mobility, economic development, and financial sustainability of public action.
The goal is to build a shared vision, strengthen the coherence of public policies, and unite municipalities, the agglomeration, and partners around common objectives. The ambition is to direct investments and resources towards defined priorities and to inform the political decisions and structuring choices of the mandate.
Elected officials, residents, and territorial stakeholders are invited to express their views from now until December 31, 2026, through an online survey. Contributions will cover landscapes, resources, mobility, work, food, health, and social connections, as well as future developments like climate change and digital transformations.
This reflection, which began in September 2026 with municipalities and local stakeholders, will help build a common vision for the territory by 2050 by spring 2027.
