The Chapel of Chavannex, listed as a Historic Monument in 2022, is embarking on a vast restoration program to consolidate its structure, preserve its 15th-century frescoes, and renovate its roof.

The municipality also aims to enhance this heritage site in Chablais by opening it to the public for visits and cultural events, and by integrating it into a tourist circuit.
Formerly a 13th-century church, the chapel has endured centuries of wars and revolutions. Demoted to a chapel in the 16th century, it suffered damage due to soil instability. The discovery of medieval frescoes in 2018 highlighted the urgency of its preservation.
Faced with structural damage, the municipality, with expert assistance, has initiated technical studies and secured grants. A 3D survey of the building was conducted to aid restoration and offer virtual tours. The local population actively supports this emblematic project.
