Due to persistent rainfall deficit and high temperatures, water restriction measures are maintained in Haute-Savoie until October 31, 2026, placing the municipality of Allinges under reinforced alert.

Despite recent rainfall, water tables and rivers in Haute-Savoie remain at critical levels. Consequently, existing water restrictions are extended until October 31, 2026 throughout the municipality of Allinges, as per a prefectural decree.
These measures apply to all individuals, regardless of the water source, whether from the public network, wells, boreholes, or private springs. Only rainwater harvesting is exempt from these restrictions.
September was marked by a significant rainfall deficit and temperatures above seasonal averages. The recent precipitation has provided only superficial relief to vegetation and has not been sufficient to substantially replenish underground reserves.
Prefectural decree no. DDT-2026-1171, dated September 30, 2026, has therefore renewed these restrictions across the department's watersheds. The Southwest Lémanique area, to which Allinges belongs, is classified at level 3 out of 4, indicating a reinforced alert.
For professionals and local authorities, specific rules are also in place. Industrial and commercial activities must reduce water withdrawals by 50%, unless regulatory derogations apply. Agricultural irrigation by sprinkling is prohibited between 9 AM and 8 PM. Sports fields and golf courses are restricted to watering between 8 AM and 8 PM, with a target of 60% reduction in consumed volumes.
