The belfry, likely dating from the 19th century, is now severely degraded. Wear and tear on the joints and risks of rupture threaten the bell tower as well as the two historic bells it houses. The project aims to dismantle the existing structure, install a new local oak belfry, replace the bell equipment, and secure the tower. The second bell will be preserved thanks to a system limiting its wear.
The work will be carried out by Fonderie Paccard, certified as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company), recognized for its expertise in traditional belfries. The municipality is thus committed to preserving this rural heritage and ensuring the safety of a frequently visited building.
Upon completion of the work, the bell tower will fully regain its bell-ringing function, accompanying ceremonies and community events, while sustainably enhancing the village's heritage and identity.
