About twenty hikers took part in a three-day, two-night trip on the GR3 'Sources et Gorges de la Loire', starting from Retournac and ending at the Château d’Aurec-sur-Loire, as part of the 'Mois de la Rando'.

As part of the 'Mois de la Rando' (Month of Hiking), around twenty participants took part in an itinerant three-day, two-night stay on the GR3 'Sources et Gorges de la Loire'. This initiative allowed them to discover the landscapes and heritage of the territory at the pace of walking.
Starting from the Retournac train station, the hikers, mainly from neighboring departments, traversed the GR3 trails for three days, reaching the Château d’Aurec-sur-Loire. The route offered diverse landscapes and moments of conviviality.
Beyond the physical activity, the stay also included relaxation and discovery activities, such as spa access, a visit to the Château de Rochebaron, and concluded with a visit to the Château d’Aurec.
The return to the starting point was by train, using one of France's most scenic TER lines, offering magnificent panoramas of the Gorges de la Loire. Participants expressed their appreciation for the experience, highlighting the remarkable landscapes, cultural discoveries, and warm welcome at each stage.
The event, which showcases the region's numerous tourist and natural assets, invites participants to new adventures on the paths of the Gorges de la Loire in 2027.
