The municipality of Peyrins achieved savings of €17,000 in energy consumption over one year, a reduction of 6%, through energy sobriety measures.

In the context of ecological transition and the need to control public spending, the municipality of Peyrins has implemented an energy sobriety initiative across all its built assets. This effort aims to reduce energy consumption and highlight the municipality's commitment.
Thanks to the adoption of simple actions by users of communal spaces, energy expenses have decreased by approximately 37,000 kWh compared to the 2024 fiscal year, resulting in savings of about €17,000.
Building on this positive experience, the municipality now intends to structure and extend this approach to all its public buildings and facilities, aiming for exemplary environmental responsibility and sound public fund management.
Everyone can contribute by adopting simple practices: avoid unnecessary lighting, turn off lights before leaving a communal room, close shutters and windows to limit heat loss or overheating, follow heating and air conditioning guidelines, and limit the consumption of electrical equipment.
Furthermore, Jean-Michel Bouchon has been appointed as the council member responsible for energy sobriety by the Municipal Council.
