After a year of work, the 72 middle school students of the 10th Departmental Youth Council (CDJ) unveiled their achievements before the elected officials of the Departmental Assembly. Elected in 2025, these young people developed concrete actions for the daily lives of Drôme youth, divided into five thematic commissions.
For conflict management, a cooperative board game was created. It aims to teach dialogue, understanding disagreements, and finding peaceful solutions to prevent verbal or physical violence.
Regarding mental health, the project "Moi ça va, et toi?" (I'm fine, and you?) proposes a day of awareness with quizzes, role-playing games, and workshops to destigmatize the subject, encourage self-care, and identify support resources.
Addressing the challenges of fast fashion, the young people launched a web page dedicated to more responsible fashion. It informs about the environmental and social impacts and highlights local alternatives, particularly second-hand shops.
Against cyberbullying, the "Écrans sans violence" (Screens without violence) festival offers activities like improvisation theater and escape games to help recognize, react to, and find help for online harassment. The festival was tested with four 5th-grade classes.
Finally, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Madame de Sévigné, a video was produced. It features the marquise advising a student on the importance of speech and self-confidence, with scenes filmed at the Château de Grignan.
These projects demonstrate the commitment of the young elected officials from Drôme, who developed their skills in teamwork and debate. The next cohort will be elected in October and installed on November 16, 2025.
