The Drôme department is under a yellow alert for storms and flood-inducing rain this Wednesday, September 30th, with sustained precipitation expected along the Rhône valley.

Due to overflow from the Cévenol weather event affecting the Gard and Ardèche regions, sustained rainfall is expected from 10 AM until late evening along the Rhône valley.
Accumulations of 20 to 40 mm are forecast from Valence to Montélimar, and 40 to 60 mm from Montélimar to the Vaucluse, with locally higher amounts. This situation requires everyone's vigilance.
It is advised to limit travel or adapt driving by reducing speed due to the risks of aquaplaning and slippery roads. It is also recommended to stay away from rivers, banks, ditches, and low-lying areas prone to flooding.
Under no circumstances should one enter an immersed roadway, even partially, whether by car or on foot. It is also advisable to secure or bring indoors outdoor items sensitive to wind and heavy rain, and to avoid basements, cellars, or garages during periods of intense rainfall.
