The President of the Community of Communes, Christine Marion, officially inaugurated the « Les Freydières » Intercommunal House in Grâne on Wednesday, October 7th, in the presence of numerous guests. This new facility addresses the growing needs for childcare and the expansion of the local micro-crèche.
The 900 m² building, formerly the EHPAD « Les Opalines », acquired in 2022, has been completely renovated to house a 530 m² early childhood center. This includes a nursery, a Childcare Relais Service, and a Parent-Child Welcome Space (LAEP), adapted for children aged 0 to 6 years.
The project stands out for its exemplary approach to eco-design and thermal renovation, aiming for a 40% reduction in energy consumption and a 30% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. Bio-based materials, environmental labels, and recycling were key features of the construction, earning it the « Ecolo-crèche » label upon its opening in May 2026.
The « La Ruchette » nursery, opened in May 2026, currently cares for 19 children from Grâne, Allex, Eurre, Montoison, and Loriol. The « Les Petites pousses » Childcare Relais Service supports 24 registered childminders and 41 children. A Parent-Child Welcome Space « Le Pass’age » completes the offering.
The space dedicated to the Ramières music school of Allex-Grâne provides adapted rehearsal rooms for about a hundred students and ten teachers, enhancing access to quality artistic education in the region.
The total cost of the operation amounts to €3,211,299.56 excluding tax, with financial support from the Caf de la Drôme (€1,114,000), the State (€767,380), and the MSA Ardèche Drôme Loire (€58,000).
