A meeting recently took place in Bourg-lès-Valence, bringing together volunteers and seniors involved in the 'Dames et Messieurs de Cœur' initiative. The primary objective of this gathering was to present and renew the volunteer charter, an essential document that governs visits, exchanges, and relationships between volunteers and the seniors they support.
The meeting was attended by several local officials, including Sylvie Gharibian, vice-president of the CCAS, Danièle Payan, elected official for events, Laurence Philippot, director of the CCAS, and Sandy Fonty from the Seniors service. A total of eight volunteers and four seniors participated in this event.
Sylvie Gharibian welcomed the participants and expressed her gratitude to the volunteers for their commitment and the precious time they dedicate to visiting and interacting with seniors. She emphasized the crucial importance of these actions in maintaining social connections and combating isolation.
Danièle Payan then read the volunteer charter, which was presented to the participants before being signed. This moment served to reiterate everyone's commitments and the framework within which the visits take place.
The meeting concluded with a group photo and a convivial snack held outside the town hall, fostering warm exchanges between volunteers, seniors, and the CCAS teams. This event highlighted the significance of volunteer engagement and the bonds that gradually form through these visits.
The 'Dames et Messieurs de Cœur' initiative aims to create moments of exchange and conviviality between volunteers and seniors who wish to receive visits and support that promotes social connection.
