On the occasion of October Rose, the Aurillac and Chaudes-Aigues Hospitals are organizing several awareness and prevention events for breast cancer in Cantal.

The Hospitals of Aurillac and Chaudes-Aigues reaffirm their commitment to early detection and public health for October Rose. Several initiatives are planned to inform and mobilize the population.
On Wednesday, October 7th, the Chaudes-Aigues Hospital is hosting an awareness day at the CH Pierre Raynal. From 2 PM to 4 PM, health professionals will lead prevention stands and organize an orientation walk to promote physical activity.
On Sunday, October 11th, as part of the "Aurillac pour Elles" event in Aurillac, the cancer federation will have an information stand. The CHHMA will participate with a "Team Hôpital" of 50 staff members, proudly representing the hospital to raise awareness about breast cancer screening.
A public conference will be held on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Centre culturel du Carladès in Vic-sur-Cère. Led by Drs. Mania, Monjanel, and Vilanova, along with the dietary team and sports educator M. Piganiol from CHHMA, it will cover health-related topics.
On Thursday, October 15th, 2026, an internal mobilization will take place at the cafeteria of the Aurillac Hospital. The program includes a themed meal, the presence of the League Against Cancer, and the sale of pink ribbons made by EHPAD residents, with proceeds going to the association.
These initiatives aim to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and highlight the role of healthcare facilities as local public health actors in Cantal.
