Children from the youth municipal council gathered at the Labégude library to prepare for the November 11th ceremony, honoring soldiers who died for France. Surrounded by documents, posters, and books prepared by library volunteers, they answered questions about World War I and its commemoration, understanding the importance of remembering.
Despite the rain, they proceeded to Labégude's main square to plant an olive tree, marking the start of their term. They later received their youth municipal council sashes and a booklet on citizenship at the town hall.
These young municipal council members were chosen by schoolchildren in a mock election on October 16, 2026, for a two-year term. The municipality congratulates and thanks them for their commitment.
