The Syndicat de gestion des gorges de l'Ardèche (SGGA) participated on September 5th in the "Agri-culturelles" event in Lagorce, an initiative focused on pastoralism and its contribution to landscape and biodiversity preservation.

Organized by the Communauté de communes des Gorges de l’Ardèche at the Cabre & Cade farm, these days allowed the SGGA to host a stand dedicated to the role of livestock farming in ecosystem protection. Residents, farmers, and hikers engaged in discussions on concrete topics such as maintaining open spaces, fire prevention, and the role of vultures and natural carrion.
Several partners, including a breeders' association and the LPO, were also present alongside the SGGA. These collaborations enriched the discussions, enabling a cross-pollination of perspectives and knowledge sharing on the essential links between livestock farming, biodiversity, and landscapes.
This event provided a valuable opportunity for awareness-raising and exchange, fostering a better understanding of the challenges related to pastoralism. The Communauté de communes announced that further events on these themes will be organized in the coming months.
