The theme of food will be at the heart of the Générations en Fête event, taking place in Eclassan on Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21. These two festive days will feature a wide range of activities for all ages, including artistic workshops, scientific discoveries, a show, and play areas.
The program begins on Tuesday, October 20, at the Eclassan gymnasium. From 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, visitors can participate in artistic workshops on fruits, vegetables, and food products, make seed balls, discover an exhibition on water, get their faces painted, contribute to a participatory fresco, and enjoy wooden and board games. A workshop on micro-organisms will also be offered for those aged 7 and up. A motor skills area will be available for toddlers in the morning, and a vegetable harvest for a collective soup is planned for late morning. A workshop with a beekeeper is also scheduled for Wednesday.
The room located near the library, opposite the town hall, will screen animated films made by local students throughout the day. Kamishibai sessions (reading and games) will be held at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
The highlight of Tuesday will be the "musical vegetable garden," a traveling show with carrot whistle making, offered at the gymnasium from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, for ages 5 and up.
On Wednesday, October 21, activities will continue at the gymnasium, with artistic workshops, seed ball making, the water exhibition, face painting, the fresco, games, and a zero-waste cooking workshop on savory spreads. The afternoon will be dedicated to the collective preparation of the soup.
In the late afternoon, a family-friendly and convivial show titled "Gina" by Compagnie Basta Cosi will be presented at the gymnasium at 5:30 PM (1-hour duration, for ages 4 and up). The day will conclude at 7:00 PM with a tasting of the collective soup.
This free event is a unique opportunity for families to come together for various activities, from harvesting vegetables to artistic creation, and convivial moments. A refreshment stand will offer drinks and cakes.
The event is made possible by the participation of numerous volunteers and local partners, including the municipality of Eclassan, FAR d’Eclassan, DITEP d’Eclassan, Outil en Main, C’est pas du Jeu, the library, Mes Petites Aventures, CCSTI, Ferme des Blancs, Station V, CSM Rosa Parks, the company Les Arts Verts, beekeeper Rémi Veyrand, and Bistrot de l’Ormeau.
