The city of Bourg-Saint-Andéol undertook desimpermeabilization and greening work at the René Cassin elementary schoolyard during the school holidays, planting seven trees to create a cooler and more pleasant environment.

During the school holidays, the city carried out an important project to desimpermeabilize and green the courtyard of the René Cassin elementary school, in consultation with the teaching staff.
This project aims to cool the courtyard and combat heat islands, create a shaded and playful space for children, promote rainwater infiltration and limit runoff, while offering a more pleasant and natural daily environment.
A total of seven trees were planted: one Judas tree (cercis siliquastrum), two honey trees (eurodia danielli), one catalpa, and three hackberry trees (celtis australis).
This investment, made today, is for the future: these trees will grow with the children and help make the school a cooler, more welcoming, and more environmentally friendly place.
