The objective is to offer children at the Bois and Arc-en-Ciel schools, who encounter academic difficulties, a privileged time to revisit concepts covered in class, understand them better, and consolidate their learning, especially through their homework.
A significant mobilization of volunteers has been observed. Following an appeal launched in the summer edition of Ornex Infos, the number of volunteers has more than doubled, from 4 to 8 or 10 individuals now committing to assist the children. A big thank you is extended to them for their availability and dedication.
The program operates as follows: on Tuesdays, at the Bois school, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and on Thursdays, at the Arc-en-Ciel school, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Each group accommodates 8 to 10 children, with support provided throughout the school year. Places are still available at the Arc-en-Ciel school.
This program is intended for students identified by their teachers as needing additional support. Interested families are encouraged to contact their child's teacher to discuss this opportunity. This action is conducted in partnership with the municipality's Childhood service and the schools of Ornex, with a shared ambition: to help each child progress at their own pace and build confidence in their abilities.
