The new cinema project, currently under construction at the Forum des Sports in Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost, is progressing rapidly. This inter-municipal facility, which will feature 5 screens and 810 seats, aims to become a true hub for culture, meetings, and sharing for all audiences.
The planned programming will be diverse, including major national releases, mainstream cinema, Art House films, and sessions for young audiences. Beyond screenings, the cinema will host previews, "ciné-goûters" (afternoon snack and film events), festivals, meet-and-greets, and media literacy initiatives.
Before its opening, a crucial step is to name this new cultural space. From October 13 to 23, 2026, residents are invited to participate in this choice via the website www.les-nommes-sont.fr. CCMP teams will also be on the ground to gather suggestions and allow direct voting at several events in Miribel.
These events will take place at the Académie de Musique et de Danse (176 All. Pierre Perret) on Wednesday, October 14, from 3 PM to 5 PM, at the Miribel Market (Place du marché) on Thursday, October 15, from 8 AM to 11 AM, and at the CADA (Allée des peupliers) on Wednesday, October 21, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
