Facing population growth, the Montagnole school's student body has increased from 73 children in 2017 to 109 for the 2024-2025 school year. To ensure optimal reception conditions, the municipality undertook expansion work.
These works included the construction of a fifth classroom, a new nap room, a discovery room, the expansion of the canteen, and the de-sealing of the schoolyard.
As part of its support for municipalities, Grand Chambéry assisted the town hall with this project. The community supported the search for subsidies, resulting in 53% of the work being financed through aid from the State, the Region, the Department, and the CAF. Grand Chambéry also provided assistance in preparing the application to the Water Agency for funding the de-sealing of the courtyard.
