Since the start of the 2026 academic year, the Savoie Mont Blanc University has launched its new Student Space, a centralized digital platform designed to facilitate access to daily university services, information, and news.

The aim of this Student Space is to gather essential resources for students in one place, including educational tools, health services, sports activities, guidance, catering, student life, events, and practical information. This initiative seeks to enable students to find the information or service they need more easily.
The project was developed under the direction of the USMB's Communication Department, with support from a technical provider for site development. The design was guided by a student-usage-centric approach, involving user research workshops to understand their needs and expectations.
The design process followed three steps: listening to students' digital habits and difficulties, designing content organization, navigation, and interface based on identified usage patterns, and continuously testing the tool with students for improvement. Content is written in FALC (Easy to Read and Understand), and the site adheres to RGAA accessibility criteria.
Conceived with a mobile-first approach, the interface is optimized for smartphones while remaining accessible on other devices. USMB thus continues its digital transformation by offering a single point of access that simplifies information access and brings digital services closer to students' real-world usage.
This project aligns with the Maison des étudiants et de la réussite (Student and Success House), a physical one-stop shop on each campus. The development of this space received state funding as part of the NCU-@SPIRE project (ANR-18-NCUN-0018).
