The event "Vazy autrement", held from September 14 to October 4, 2026, aimed to promote alternatives to individual car use among employees of companies and administrations in the Grand Chambéry territory. A closing ceremony was held to review the edition, present collective and individual results, and honor the most committed participants.
Over three weeks, 304 employees from 28 participating establishments prioritized walking, cycling, public transport, carpooling, or car-sharing. The VAZY® application allowed participants to log their journeys and contribute to their establishment's results. Employee participation varied from a single person to 36 in the most active establishment.
Companies competed in four categories based on their employee count. The top two performers in each category, along with a "coup de cœur" award for the highest proportion of participants relative to total staff, were recognized. An individual ranking also highlighted the top three participants who accumulated the most points.
Points were awarded to value efforts: 5 points per kilometer traveled by active modes (limit of 500 points/day) and 25 points per trip using shared mobility (limit of 4 trips/day). Kilometers by active modes were automatically recorded, while shared mobility trips required manual declaration and verification.
In the category for establishments with fewer than 60 employees, La Régie coup de pouce took first place with 14,412 points, followed by Guichon Valves Origin. For those with 60 to 149 employees, La Maison d'arrêt ranked first with 36,482 points, ahead of the DDETSPP. Among establishments with 150 to 399 employees, La Croix Rouge Française – Domaine Saint-Alban secured the top spot, followed by Bollhoff Otalu.
For establishments with 400 or more employees, Grand Chambéry claimed first place with 23,645 points, followed by the mairie et CCAS. The "coup de cœur" award, recognizing the highest participation rate, went to La régie coup de pouce with a 43% participation rate.
In the individual rankings, Dominique G. from the Maison d’arrêt de Chambéry won first place with 7821 points, followed by Fabien C. (6612 points) and Karim M. (5952 points), both also from the Maison d’arrêt de Chambéry.
Accumulated points can be redeemed for benefits at partner businesses in Grand Chambéry or for gift cards. Interested employers can subscribe to mobility support services to enable their employees to participate in future challenges via the VAZY® application.
