The libraries of Chambéry are participating on October 3, 2026, in the third edition of Biblis en folie, the national days dedicated to libraries and media centers. To mark the occasion, several activities are planned at the Georges Brassens library and the Jean-Jacques Rousseau media center.
At the Georges Brassens library, a book and CD sale of items withdrawn from the collections will be held all day. These items will be offered at affordable prices, starting from €1. Additionally, author-illustrator Mademoiselle Caroline will be present for a public meet-and-greet as part of Chambéry BD, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. This event is free and does not require registration.
The Jean-Jacques Rousseau media center will host Racontines, a reading and storytelling session for toddlers aged 0 to 4 years, at 10:30 AM by registration. A comic book quiz will test children's knowledge from the age of 7 at 4:00 PM.
Take advantage of this day to register or re-register at the library. On October 3rd, membership to the Chambéry libraries will be free and valid for one year. This is an ideal opportunity to explore the collections, borrow books, comics, CDs, and other resources, and enjoy the services of the municipal libraries throughout the year.
