This initiative aligns with the CCHT's policy on waste reduction and valorization. Collected cans are compacted and then sold to a recycler. All revenue from the aluminum resale is fully allocated to the association to fund its programs for children and families in the hospital.
The association Les P'tits Doudous de Tarentaise works alongside healthcare professionals to improve the reception and comfort of young patients, reduce anxiety for children and their parents, and optimize recycling within healthcare facilities. Funds raised directly support these efforts.
Two compactors are now operational in Haute Tarentaise. The first is located at the entrance of the emergency department of the Bourg-Saint-Maurice hospital, near the beverage dispensers. Visitors can contribute to this solidarity effort by depositing their used cans.
The second compactor is provided free of charge to event organizers for use during local gatherings. The collected cans will be recycled for the benefit of the association. Interested organizers can contact the CCHT's Waste Reduction and Sorting service via email at tri-reduction@hautetarentaise.fr or by phone at 04 79 41 08 53.
