Modern radiology room with a new Siemens SOMATOM go.Top scanner in Aix-les-Bains.

The Aix-les-Bains Hospital Center has inaugurated a new Siemens SOMATOM go.Top scanner, replacing the old equipment and strengthening its medical imaging capabilities.

The radiology department of the Aix-les-Bains Hospital Center now features a new Siemens SOMATOM go.Top scanner. This latest-generation equipment replaces the previous system and significantly enhances the site's imaging capacities.
The installation includes a complete renovation of the examination room. The space has been redesigned to offer a more pleasant and comfortable environment for patients, with ambient lighting and equipment to facilitate examinations. The room's layout has also been improved to meet the needs of healthcare professionals.
This new scanner can perform common imaging exams, as well as more specific explorations, particularly in oncology, traumatology, and emergency care.
It also benefits from technologies that support professionals in performing exams, including automation and artificial intelligence features. These contribute to obtaining high-quality images while adjusting the X-ray doses delivered to patients.
This equipment renewal is part of the modernization strategy for the technical facilities at the Centre Hospitalier Métropole Savoie (CHMS) and the development of its medical imaging services, for the benefit of patients and care teams.
