In recent weeks, the technical service of the Mairie de Quincieux, supported by external companies, has intervened in various locations within the commune used by children to enhance safety and introduce new play facilities.
For toddlers aged 10 weeks to 3 years welcomed at the "Matin Câlin" center, three interior gates and a separation barrier have been installed, in compliance with the latest PMI (Maternal and Child Protection) directives.
Children at the Marie-José Bajard kindergarten will find several new features upon their return: the large structure in the small courtyard, on the rue des Combattants AFN side, has been completely revised and refixed. A new flexible surface has been laid around the structure and the turtle-shaped play element. Additionally, two new spring riders have replaced an outdated tunnel, also surrounded by a new flexible surface.
Their older peers at the Marius Gros elementary school are already enjoying a new "Danse avec moi" game and a new basketball hoop, with markings completed in late September to supplement the initial ones.
In the Town Hall Park, the work included replacing a damaged pole, fully tightening all screws, replacing a net, and installing a four-seater spring rider to enhance the play area.
These interventions aim to finalize the safety upgrades, necessitated by evolving standards and the wear and tear of existing equipment. They also allow children to discover new games, pending the refurbishment of the playground near the stadium and the creation of a future play area near the elementary school.
