This Thursday, October 15, 2026, the Quincieux town hall welcomed its first 16 citizen reservists, marking the official launch of this new municipal initiative.

The welcome ceremony was held in the presence of Françoise Champavier, mayor of Quincieux, along with deputies and municipal councilors. This first cohort is distinguished by its diversity, bringing together men and women, employed and retired individuals, long-time residents and newcomers.
Following a discussion about the potential missions and projects of the citizen reserve, the new members signed their engagement contracts and an affidavit of non-conviction. This solemn moment was followed by a convivial gathering.
The citizen reservists will be visible starting this weekend during the autumn cleanup, scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at 8:30 AM, and will also participate in the November 11 ceremony. Applications to join the citizen reserve are accepted continuously throughout the year.
