After a welcome coffee, approximately 60 adults and 20 children scoured the town to collect discarded waste. The cleanup revealed a lack of civic responsibility from some, with leaves, malodorous trash bags deliberately left in ditches, and countless cans.
Despite perplexity over some littering, participants displayed good humor and smiles, equipped with gloves and grabbers.
Special mention goes to the children, fully invested in their mission within the BNV (Village Cleanup Brigade), a new organization that emerged during the collection. Their keen eyes spotted the smallest pieces of trash.
Late in the morning, BNV members gathered at the Municipal Technical Center for a snack. Due to the operation's success and the younger participants' appetites, provisions were quickly depleted. Apologies were extended to the latecomers, with promises to adjust quantities for the next edition.
Thanks were extended to everyone who participated in this great mobilization: residents, members of the citizen reserve, BNV children, municipal agents, and elected officials.
