The French Institute for Education (IFÉ) held its back-to-school press conference on September 16, 2026. This institution, whose mission is to foster fruitful dialogue between scientific research and professional practices in education, presented its action plans for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Given the growing need to better understand and integrate scientific research findings into educational practices, the IFÉ offers various support formats: training, publications, and collaborative research. The aim is to promote a deeper understanding of research and encourage education professionals to engage in researching their own practices.
For this 2026-2027 academic year, described as decisive for educational policy, the IFÉ is not only continuing its usual activities but also launching a series of new initiatives specifically designed to fuel public debate on educational issues.
“"In education as elsewhere, we need to better understand scientific research; we need to integrate its results more into the professional practices of stakeholders; we need to work more regularly with researchers, or even become researchers of our own practices."
Details of these new initiatives, along with the replay of the back-to-school press conference, are available online.
