The DREAL Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes has launched CartoCOP, a new application designed to map the region's COP indicators. This tool provides detailed visualization of environmental and economic data at the departmental and Intercommunal Public Cooperation Establishment (EPCI) levels within the region.

As part of the COP Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the DREAL has implemented the CartoCOP application. This tool allows for the mapping of COP Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes indicators at the departmental and EPCI levels of the region, thereby offering a better understanding of environmental and sustainable development issues.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to monitor regional data. Recent reports from DREAL Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes indicate a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions between 2015 and 2024, from 55.50 Mt CO₂eq to 46.31 Mt CO₂eq, a reduction of 16.6%. Land freight transport was also analyzed in 2024, with nearly 274 million tonnes transported from or to the region by land. The new housing sales market showed signs of stagnation in the second quarter of 2026, with 10,980 reservations, far from the nearly 20,000 recorded in 2017.
The launch of CartoCOP follows the deployment of the DREAL Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes's new web portal dedicated to statistical data on August 11, 2026, thereby enhancing public access to information on regional issues.
