The municipality of Romagnat is organizing a tree planting morning in Tocqueville Park on Saturday, November 28, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, as part of the "Let's Plant Together in Romagnat" collective.

Since 2022, the municipality of Romagnat has been mobilizing volunteer citizens to participate in planting initiatives. Within the "Let's Plant Together in Romagnat" collective, residents, local association members, municipal agents, and elected officials are collaborating to combat the consequences of climate change at the city level.
This autumn, a morning will be dedicated to planting eight trees in Tocqueville Park on Saturday, November 28, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This initiative aims to improve the living environment, reduce air pollution through carbon sequestration, and create cool islands to combat global warming.
The tree and shrub species selected for their adaptability to climate change include the Hairy Oak, Downy Oak, Crape Myrtle, and Hawthorn.
Further plantings are scheduled in the coming weeks: six trees in Opme, Saulzet-le-Chaud, and Romagnat by students from the EREA of Opme, six trees by municipal workshop agents, and a long-term fig tree conservatory. The landscaping of Rue de Laubize will also be finalized this autumn.
To participate, you can complete the online application form or contact the town hall at 04 73 62 79 79 or by email at jean.fontenille@ville-romagnat.fr or jeparticipe@ville-romagnat.fr.
