The "Tous en forêt" (All in the Forest) initiative, organized by the National Forestry Office, offers immersive encounters between the public and forest professionals. These afternoon guided walks provide an opportunity to ask questions about trees, fauna, flora, and the ONF's work, particularly in adapting forests to climate change.
Two specific outings are planned in the Auvergne Volcanoes Park. On September 26, at 2 PM, the meeting point is at Le Lioran, "Prairies des Sagnes," for an exploration of the state forest of Plomb du Cantal. Access involves an elevation gain of 120 to 150 meters.
On September 30, also at 2 PM, the visit will take place in the Vallée de Chaudefour. The meeting point is the Maison de la Réserve Naturelle Nationale de la Vallée de Chaudefour (63790 Chambon-sur-Lac). This 3-kilometer round trip, with an elevation gain of about a hundred meters, will lead to the heart of the Chaudefour state forest. Domestic animals are not admitted.
Participation in these events is free and open to the general public. Prior registration is mandatory by contacting Constance Émond at: constance.emond@onf.fr.
