The Connexions festival, supported by the Puy-de-Dôme Department, includes the participation of the Massif du Sancy Community of Communes for its fourth edition. This event offers a series of free activities, accessible from age 8, focusing on video games, augmented reality, and digital technology.
Until December 31, 2026, an exhibition titled "Video Game Generations" will be held at the La Bourboule Media Library. Workshops such as Pixel Art (creating "space invaders" through screen printing) and Blink Book (coloring and animating drawings in augmented reality) are scheduled for Saturdays, November 7 and 14. A retro-gaming session will take place on November 14. Reservations are recommended due to limited spaces.
The Besse Media Library will also host activities, including a retro-gaming session and a Blink Book workshop on Wednesday, November 4, as well as a Pixel Art workshop on Saturday, November 7. Reservations are also advised.
The festival's highlight will be the Digital Village, held at the Mont-Dore Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, from 10 am to 6 pm. This day will be dedicated to discovering workshops, games, exhibitions, and interactive experiences for all audiences.
Among the activities offered in Mont-Dore are the BASILE animation on the geomorphology of Auvergne, a workshop for creating futuristic postcards using AI, a discovery of the Chaîne des Puys in augmented reality, short films in virtual reality (ages 12+), and an awareness session on responsible digital practices. The Critikit exhibition will encourage learning to doubt, while the interactive adventure "Behind the Scenes of Social Networks" and the reflection "Let's build a more fraternal world" will explore the impact of digital technology. Virtual reality will also be featured for well-being and cognitive stimulation.
