The Departmental Council of Puy-de-Dôme and the Dispensaire Émile-Roux are organizing a day of prevention and awareness for the fight against cancer on Thursday, November 12, 2026, in Clermont-Ferrand.

From 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the Hôtel du Département will host the public for meetings with health professionals, information on screenings, and activities. The event aims to make prevention accessible to all, as part of the ten-year strategy against cancer.
This year, the day will focus on sedentary lifestyles and the benefits of movement. Partners such as the Ligue contre le cancer (League Against Cancer), Assurance maladie (Health Insurance), the Dispensaire Émile-Roux, the Centre Jean Perrin, the Maison Sport Santé du CHU Estaing (Health Sports House of CHU Estaing), and ASM Sport Santé will be present to provide information on screenings, smoking cessation, HPV vaccination, and blood donation.
ONAPS will offer its exhibition 'I am active and sedentary' and a smoothie bike will be available. Four 10-minute active breaks are scheduled: muscle awakening, gentle gymnastics and postural reinforcement, and Qi Gong.
