The Children's Municipal Council of Villars held its installation session on Monday, October 12, 2026, with 27 young elected officials beginning their new term.

The Town Hall of Villars hosted the installation session of the Children's Municipal Council (CME) on Monday, October 12, 2026. The event took place in the presence of elected officials, parents, and teachers, marking the start of a new term for 27 young Villardaires.
Elections, held during the last week of September in classes from CE2 to CM2 in the municipal schools, resulted in 26 students being chosen by their peers. One elected official from the previous term, now in 6th grade, also joined the assembly to continue his commitment.
After presenting some of their ideas for improving the commune, the young elected officials received their tricolor sashes. The Mayor congratulated them on their civic engagement.
This ceremony also provided an opportunity for families to meet the CME's management team, led by Véronique ROUSTAIN, Deputy Mayor.
The first working session of the CME is scheduled for November 6, followed by the first commemoration on November 11.
