The Erasmus Days, an annual event celebrating the Erasmus program, are taking place from October 12th to 17th. This edition focuses on skills as a driver of innovation, resilience, and competitiveness for Europe. Mines Saint-Étienne, holder of the Erasmus+ Charter with a score of 100/100, is actively participating, reinforcing its role in international training and research.
The school has already kicked off the festivities by raising awareness among its research professors on setting up Erasmus KA2 projects and the EULiST alliance on October 6th. This initiative aims to explore cooperation possibilities between organizations, complementing the individual mobility already well-established at the School.
A highlight of the Erasmus Days at Mines Saint-Étienne is the traditional "International Potluck" for the Erasmus Mundus Multiphase Master's program. This festive meal, where each student from the new cohort prepares a culinary specialty from their home country, allows the 25 students to share a convivial and intercultural experience.
On October 23rd, the International Mobility Forum on the historic campus will cover the Erasmus program's functioning, partners, registration procedures, and eco-responsible mobility options to ensure a successful international experience.
Subsequently, on November 19th, the Aix-Marseille-Provence campus will host the "French Village – International Village," another intercultural exchange event supported by the International Student Office (BDI). An Erasmus stand will be present to showcase opportunities to students and faculty.
These initiatives underscore the European dimension of Mines Saint-Étienne's programs, which boasts a network of 60 Erasmus partners and supports approximately 100 mobility placements annually.
The school is also deploying Erasmus BIP (Blended Intensive Programmes), combining short-term mobility with online learning. In August 2026, the Edu4Chip BIP brought together 40 students from various European universities at the Aix-Marseille Provence campus. In September 2026, a Green hydrogen BIP was held with participants from Mines Saint-Étienne, TU Wien, and the University of L’Aquila, as part of the EULiST Alliance.
These actions enhance the School's attractiveness and the international reach of its programs, aligning with the European Union's priorities.
