This Friday, October 2nd, the Town of Le Coteau and several associations invite the public to the Orangerie hall in Parc Bécot for an afternoon of creative and sports activities, followed by a solidarity dance workshop.

After two editions focused on a show and a parade, the Pink October initiative adopts a new format, designed in collaboration with associations working in well-being, physical activity, and solidarity. The goal is to highlight associations, raise awareness of their missions, and mobilize support for their commitment.
Starting at 4 PM, the Art’s Academy association will present 'The Tree of Life in Fusion'. Each participant will be invited to create a watercolor leaf, which will become part of a collective artwork for the Town. At 5 PM, Qi Gong Taichi AEMC Le Coteau will offer an introduction to tai-chi-chuan and qi gong. At 5:45 PM, Allez Go will introduce trampoline fitness with a dynamic and accessible session for everyone.
At 7 PM, Les Poulettes Costelloises will lead a workshop to learn accessible choreography to 1980s hits, in a friendly atmosphere. This mobilization will benefit two associations: Espoir Santé Harmonie, which finances medical equipment for hospitals in the Roannais and supports research, and Femme Avant Tout, which supports women during and after cancer.
« We want to mark Pink October within our means, by valuing associations, making their missions known, and mobilizing widely around their commitment to this cause », emphasizes Sandra Creuzet-Taite, mayor of Le Coteau.

"Each participant will create a watercolor leaf, playing with water and colors. All leaves will then be gathered on large frames to form a collective Tree of Life, which will become the property of the Town."

"From 7 PM, we will offer a workshop allowing the public to learn accessible choreographies to the great hits of the 1980s. A dynamic, convivial, and festive moment, to be shared in good spirits for the benefit of Femme Avant Tout."

"We support all women affected by cancer, during treatments but also afterwards, when feelings of isolation can be very strong. Physical activities, wellness care, listening, and sharing help them get through the illness and rebuild themselves."
