Since mid-September, a significant sewer project has been underway on Chemin des Filles in Andrézieux-Bouthéon. This work, extending until the first quarter of 2027, focuses on renewing a major route that collects wastewater from the commune's industrial zones.
This network handles between 15 and 20% of the wastewater treated by the Trois Ponts treatment plant, nearly 500,000 m3 per year. By November, a pumping station will be built to reduce wastewater stagnation upstream of the plant, thereby mitigating corrosion and odor issues.
In parallel, approximately 1.2 km of the wastewater network, primarily collecting industrial effluents, will be completely renewed by the end of 2026, from Rue des Vals to the treatment plant.
This operation, funded by the Syndicat mixte des 3 Ponts, represents an investment of nearly €800,000 excluding tax. These preventive works follow interventions carried out a year ago on the treatment plant, aiming to preserve infrastructure and ensure its long-term functionality.
In early 2027, the project will continue with finishing work and the commissioning of new equipment, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2027. Temporary disruptions to car traffic and pedestrian routes may occur during this period.
