The Maison du patrimoine in Villard-de-Lans was adorned in pink to support breast cancer screening awareness, a strong symbol of local solidarity.

Last Sunday, October 11th, the Pink Walk, organized by the association Vercors Rose, brought together over a hundred participants between the Geymonds football field and La Verrière. Dressed in pink, the walkers showed their warm and generous support for women affected by breast cancer.
The association's president, Laurence Pasquet, expressed her emotion at this outpouring of solidarity: "seeing so many people dressed in pink to accompany the association throughout the walk is a beautiful testament to the residents' commitment to this cause."
The essential goal of Vercors Rose is to fund comfort care for women in the Vercors region diagnosed with cancer, to support them as best as possible through this ordeal.
The solidarity continues with a meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 18th, 2026, at the market in Villard-de-Lans, where the association will have a stand. Donation boxes are also set up in shops in Villard-de-Lans, Autrans-Méaudre, Corrençon, and Lans-en-Vercors throughout October.
The mobilization will extend to the ice rink with the Pink Match of the Ours de Villard, on Saturday, March 6th, 2027.
From the Maison du patrimoine to the Vercors trails, through markets and the ice rink, pink unites residents around a common message: supporting women, encouraging screening, and fostering local solidarity.
