Addressing the difficulties many Viennese associations face in finding volunteers, the municipality has fulfilled a campaign promise by creating this tool. The platform, accessible via the "Ville de Vienne" mobile app and the city's website, allows associations to post their needs and citizens to search for opportunities.
On the mobile app, the "Mission Bénévolat" tab offers two paths: "I offer a volunteer mission" and "I am looking for a volunteer mission." Associations can submit a form describing the mission and the desired profile, which, after validation by the city's Associative Life department, will appear as a PDF file under "I am looking for a volunteer mission." Potential volunteers can then explore available opportunities.
The city's website follows the same principle in the "Vie associative" (Associative Life) section. This initiative is specifically designed for one-off missions and events, while the search for volunteers for the day-to-day operations of associations remains the responsibility of the "France Bénévolat" platform, which the City of Vienne already promotes.
“"Essential to the life of our city, our Viennese associations organize more and more events that make our territory shine. These events require significant human resources with a call for volunteers to lend a hand. We have implemented this platform to support their dynamism and facilitate the meeting between these associations that need occasional support and the people of Vienne who are also increasingly numerous to want to give some of their time. It is a concrete response to a commitment made during the campaign and a new way to support the associative fabric of our city."
The "Ville de Vienne" app is available on iOS and Android.
