Michel Vendra, Mayor of Sassenage, and Hervé Giroud Garampon, President of the District, accompanied by Thierry Truwant, signed the convention formalizing this partnership. This agreement aims to support sports practice in the municipality.
From September to June, the Vieux Melchior grounds will host training for federal referees and educators, as well as training sessions for the department's youth selections. These activities energize the stadium and help many enthusiasts improve. Theoretical sessions will take place in the nearby District premises.
In return for the use of the grounds, the Football District will provide a financial contribution. These funds will enable the City to acquire sports equipment, such as football, volleyball, badminton, and basketball nets, for municipal facilities.
