Protecting yourself also means protecting others: this is the key message of the free vaccination campaign in Saint-Martin-d’Hères. The Public Health and Environmental Department invites residents aged 6 and above to get their vaccination status checked.
A healthcare professional will review the health record to ensure up-to-date compliance with mandatory and recommended vaccines, such as those for diphtheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis, hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, meningococcus ACWY, meningococcus B, and papillomavirus.
Particular attention is given to protecting newborns. Vaccination against pertussis is recommended during each pregnancy to protect the baby from birth. Relatives, including grandparents, are also encouraged to ensure their own vaccinations are current.
These free vaccination sessions are available by appointment through the Communal Hygiene and Health Service (SCHS). Available slots are on Fridays, from 12 PM to 1 PM or 4 PM to 5 PM. To book an appointment, contact the service at 04 76 60 74 62. It is advisable to bring your health or vaccination record.
The service can be reached at the Public Health and Environmental Department, located at 5 rue Anatole-France in Saint-Martin-d’Hères. The town hall services are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5 PM, with the exception of the civil status and citizen services department, which is closed on Monday mornings.
