This day of solidarity saw families, friends, and athletes come together to combine physical activity with support for a common cause. From 8 a.m., volunteers from the Oxygène club and the Festival Committee, supported by the Municipality, welcomed walkers for the two proposed routes of 8 and 15 kilometers.
Participants enjoyed entertainment and treats, such as fries, crepes, and hot dogs, provided by the Festival Committee, as well as traditional wood-fired breads and brioches by Georges Antonin. Despite the cool weather, the atmosphere remained festive.
The morning featured C'Dance demonstrations and a concert by Alerte Delphinale. Representatives from "Les Merveilleuses" were also present to inform and raise awareness. Numerous municipal elected officials demonstrated the Municipality's commitment.
All proceeds will be donated to the League Against Cancer, in addition to funds collected by the Mandrinois Tennis Club and the Grenoble Parachuting School Centre. A general thank you was extended to the 400 walkers, volunteers, elected officials, associations, artists, and partners for the event's success.
“"This day reminds us once again that solidarity is also built in these simple moments of sharing, generosity, and conviviality."
The event highlights the importance of solidarity and generosity in the ongoing fight against cancer.
