Out of 15 participating teams, one of the two representing the Master's program achieved first place, notably ahead of ten Lyon-based teams. This achievement highlights their ability to leverage their knowledge, analytical skills, and teamwork in a highly immersive context.
Congratulations to Lilouane Etre Colard, Anaïs Vanoorenberghe, Léo Chartoire, Damien Fernandes, and Matthieu Guenot for this significant victory! The Master's second team, comprising Maxime Rescan, Clara Gallo, Mariem Haimer, Louise Fagot, and Lou Iohner, is also commended for their participation and commitment.
The challenges, all related to administrative law and devised by magistrates, involved sixteen teams, each named after a landmark administrative law case. The escape game consisted of two phases.
Phase 1 featured four rooms, each with a different atmosphere and puzzle: reconstructing a phrase to find a code, identifying authors of famous quotes, or spotting the sole legal decree within a fictional constitution. The goal was to retrieve four envelopes as quickly as possible.
Phase 2 required completing a speech on the rule of law, specifically a famous address by Jean-Marc Sauvé. After a five-minute reading, teams had three minutes to fill 15 blanks using clues gathered in the first phase. Each missing or incorrect answer incurred a 15-second penalty on their overall time.
Following the first two phases, the four teams with the best times qualified for the final. Among them was one of the two teams representing the Master in Territorial Governance, which had achieved the fastest time among the initial 16 teams.
The final event was a quiz of about fifteen public law legal knowledge questions. The Grenoble team quickly took the lead, widening the gap with its competitors to ultimately secure the victory.
