The HydroChartreuse project is launching a doctoral thesis to study the water resources of the Chartreuse Park, analyzing their current and future evolution in the face of climate change.

The main challenge of the HydroChartreuse project lies in advancing knowledge on water resources and the hydrological and hydrogeological functioning of the Chartreuse Park territory.
This includes the study of watercourses, rainfall and snowmelt inputs, underground flows and storages interacting with karst systems and surface flows, as well as groundwater-river exchanges.
The aim is not only to quantify them and understand their evolution over recent decades but also to grasp their future changes.
This work is the subject of a doctoral thesis co-supervised by MétéoFrance and the École des Mines de Paris.
