For October Rose, the Pierre Oudot Hospital (CHPO) in Bourgoin-Jallieu is implementing various initiatives for breast cancer prevention and screening.

The Pierre Oudot Hospital (CHPO) is launching its October Rose campaign, dedicated to raising awareness and fighting breast cancer. Several events are planned for women throughout the month.
The program begins on Friday, October 2nd, with the recording of a podcast on breast cancer, in collaboration with students from Lycée Gambetta in Bour Bourgoin-Jallieu. On Tuesday, October 13th, and Thursday, October 29th, information stands, animations, and screening workshops will be held.
These events will be attended by numerous partners involved in the fight against cancer, including the Ligue contre le Cancer, the Centre Régional de Coordination des Dépistages des Cancers AuRA, Elivie, the Maison Sport Santé du Nord-Isère, the association Espoir Isère contre le Cancer, the Réseau Papillon, the CPTS des Pays Berjalliens, and Tricotons contre le cancer.
In addition to appointment scheduling for mammograms, available year-round, the CHPO is offering local Professional Territorial Health Communities (CPTS) 80 dedicated slots during October to encourage screening.
The CHPO, which provides comprehensive cancer care, is continuously committed to the screening, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer. The SOS Sein service ensures appointments within 48 hours for diagnosis (via the toll-free number 0 800 008 851 or sos-sein-medipole@ghnd.fr).
The hospital also offers mammography, treatment, chemotherapy, cancer surgery (breast, digestive), and medical care including hematology, hepato-gastroenterology, senology, and general oncology. Personalized support is provided before, during, and after surgery by a dedicated team and various supportive care services (psychologist, dietitian, social worker, physiotherapist, etc.).
It is noteworthy that in 2025, surgical operations related to breast cancer increased by 26%.
